Since its inception, the Perry Conservation District
has strived to provide quality educational opportunities to the residents of Perry County.
Each year, the District offers a variety of events, presentations, and scholarship opportunities designed to encourage individual stewardship. These conservation education initiatives are available to residents of all ages.
Some of our outdoor events such as Ag Field Days, the Envirothon, the Land Judging Contest, and the SCOPE Project take environmental education to the field for real life examples and hands-on learning. Sponsorships are often available from the Perry Conservation District for students to attend the Penn State University Conservation Leadership School. There are also resources for a Perry County teacher to attend the week long Ag in the Classroom Program at Penn State University. Literature on various conservation topics are available request.
