Local, State, and Federal Cooperating Agencies
 
Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS)
NRCS is co-located with the Perry Conservation District at 31 West Main Street in New Bloomfield.
District Conservationist Kevin Morgan, Soil Conservationist Samantha DiLorenzo, and Conservation Technician Donald Graybill would be glad to assist you.

Farm Service Agency (FSA)
The FSA agency is available by appointment at 31 West Main Street in New Bloomfield along with NRCS and the Perry Conservation District. The FSA agency provides a wide range of cost-share programs for the farming community.

Penn State Cooperative Extension Service
Penn State Cooperative Extension has been a vital part of the community for over ninety years. Throughout the twentieth century, it has educated, advised, and helped improve the quality of agricultural and family life in Pennsylvania and had also been a great asset to the residents of Perry County. The staff is busy planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs. The staff continues to look for innovative ways to improve and expand the informal educational opportunities for our clientele. Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC)
The PFB Commission patrols the many streams and waterways that span Perry County. The PFBC continues to reach the public with educational programs. They appear before school classes, civic clubs, and scout groups. Should your organization have a need for a speaker, please contact the regional office in Harrisburg at 717-486-7087.

Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC)
The PG Commission is the organization charged with the protection of our wildlife resources.

Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR)
The Bureau of Forestry has been managing state forest land for the past century and helping private landowners for more than four decades. Under the Cooperative Forest Management Program, a service forester is available to help landowners understand, manage, and wisely use the forest resources of Perry County. Lucas Book is Perry County’s local Service Forester.
The Bureau of Forestry is located in New Germantown/Blain. The office can be reached by calling 717-536-3191 or visit their Facebook page at Tuscarora State Forest.

Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS)
The Perry Conservation District assists various municipalities within Perry County through the Dirt and Gravel Road Program, the Floodplain Management Program and by providing technical assistance through a Memorandum of Understanding regarding erosion and sediment pollution control. PSATS has a web site that gives a broad base insight to the background and structure of the townships in the State.

Central Pennsylvania Conservancy's mission is to conserve natural resources and open space for the benefit of current and future generations through the acquisition and protection of land in the Central Pennsylvania Region. CPC is dedicated to preserving Central Pennsylvania's natural beauty. Through our efforts and the support of our members we have preserved thousands of acres of land for future generations.

Shermans Creek Conservation Association (SCCA) - Currently Inactive
The SCCA is a non-political association, founded by a group of citizens who are concerned about the Shermans Creek Watershed. The SCCA is dedicated to protecting the creek and in providing environmental education to the surrounding areas. This coming year, the group plans to organize numerous community programs, provide interesting speakers on environmentally related subjects and many other fun projects for families and children.
 
Juniata Clean Water Partnership (JCWP) - Currently Inactive
The Juniata Clean Water Partnership is dedicated to building and sustaining local capacity through education, assistance, and advocacy in order to enhance, restore, and protect the natural resources of the Juniata watershed.
